Retrofit Works

Social housing landlords and local authorities are under increasing pressure to improve the energy performance of their housing stock - with funding deadlines, compliance obligations and resident expectations all bearing down at once. Getting retrofit right means having an accredited, experienced installer you can rely on to deliver to standard, on time and fully documented.

Trent Energy's Retrofit Works Division is here to take that pressure off you. We deliver government-funded energy efficiency upgrades to social housing and residential properties across the UK, working as an accredited installer within established delivery partnerships alongside energy companies, principal contractors and social housing landlords.

Current programme

We are currently delivering multi-measure retrofit works across social housing estates under the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, including loft insulation, solar PV and heating controls; improving the energy performance of homes and reducing fuel bills for residents.

What We Do

We are an accredited installer operating under PAS 2030 and PAS 2035, the UK's national standards for retrofit installation and coordination. Our certified engineers carry out whole-house assessments and deliver a range of energy-efficiency measures, including:

Solar PV panels

MCS-certified installation generating clean, on-site electricity for residents.

Air source heat pumps

Low-carbon heating replacing gas boilers, reducing energy bills and carbon emissions.

Ventilation systems

Ensuring healthy air quality and preventing damp and condensation following insulation works.

Heating controls

Smart thermostats optimising energy use and improving resident comfort without costly system changes.

All measures are designed and delivered in accordance with a Retrofit Coordinator-led assessment under PAS 2035, ensuring every improvement is appropriate for the property and the occupant.
